Introducing our first Threshold Tactical Custom Knife affectionately entitled the 'Baboon Killer'. Pays homage to our roots in Africa and is a similar shape to a lot of close combat blades carried by Rhodesian soldiers on operations in the bush. Baboons are an aggressive animal that often closes quickly with its prey. A small, strong blade is needed for close combat with a blade designed to pierce between ribs and body armour and strong skin.

These blades are Veteran made by Shalom Wengrowicz, a former Israeli Defence Force Sniper / Paratrooper and designed exclusively for Threshold Tactical. His work as a bladesmith is legendary having made blades for other veteran-owned businesses like Raise The Black. He's an artist creating amazing blades from everything from Carbon Fibre to Damascus Steel.

There are only 6 of these blades in the world.

One has been pre-sold already to a Special Forces soldier in the Australian community. This is a soldiers blade, strong, super light and bound with para-cord. Each Kydex sheath is created in OD Green Kydex custom to each knife. The blade of each knife is engraved with the Viking runes for Strength. Painted with Green OD paint into each rune.

Carbon Fiber is a polymer and is sometimes known as graphite fibre. It is a very strong material that is also very lightweight. Carbon fibre is five-times stronger than steel and twice as stiff. Though carbon fibre is stronger and stiffer than steel, it is lighter than steel; making it the ideal manufacturing material for many parts

These are custom made for us by Shalom @ Sea Wolf Crafts. Inspected and sharpened by him. This is a special project between two Veteran companies. Limited edition. These are wrapped and shipped via courier to each owner.

Caring for your blade: Clean with water and soap, use fine sandpaper to hone the edge when wet only. Avoid inhaling the carbon when sharpening. Only sharpen when wet.
